The Munich Tour

In the 4-8 December interval the Youth Bach Choir will be on Tour in Munich to participate in the exhibition Stillleben nach dem Exodus (Still life after the Exodus - Fotos by Prof. Peter Jacobi ).
Monday, the 7 of December, will take place in Haus des Deutschen Ostens, Caroline Fernolend's lecture - „Die Arbeit des Mihai Eminescu Stiftung in siebenbürgischen Dörfern“ (The work of the Mihai Eminescu Foundation in Transylvanian villages). During the trips the choir took in Țara Bârsei and in Rupea a DVD was created which combines the visual impressions with numerous musical samples from the region. This DVD will be presented in Munich and the incomes will be donated to the Mihai Eminescu Foundation.

Madrigals in the weaver bastion

Sunday, the 14th of June, we were invited to sing some Madrigals in the weaver bastion. We had our medieval costums on, so you could take a peek in our Photo Gallery.

 

"Jesu meine Freude" in the Evangelical Church in Schei

Sunday, the 29th of March 2009, we performed together with the string quartet Gaudeamus the Bach motet "Jesu meine Freude" (Jesus my desire)

In the ending of the concert we performed "O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden", not Bach but Mendelssohn, so that we have something romantic in the concert. :)

We rehearsed a lot for this concert and (almoust) all sacrificed (almoust) an entire weekend during which we (almoust) only rehearsed.
